Lynne Featherstone in the running for national newspaper website prize11.01.24am GMT Tue 3rd Feb 2004 London Assembly Liberal Democrat Lynne Featherstone has been shortlisted for a prestigious award for her online musings on politics and life. The nomination for Lynne's popular local 'blog' [weblog] comes from the Guardian Unlimited, which has shortlisted 12 nationwide website diaries for a prize http://politics.guardian.co.uk/redbox/page/0,9030,1135418,00.html. Scores of readers sent in nominations for the Backbencher's Political Weblog Awards. Readers can vote for their favourite blog from the shortlist by sending an email with the blog name (eg 'Lynne's GLA and Haringey diary') in the subject line to [email protected] by Monday February 9th. The 'Backbencher' will announce the winner and the two runners-up on February 11th. Lynne Featherstone commented: "I enjoy writing the blog about the Greater London Authority, and it is nice to see that readers appreciate it. I'll be watching the final results of the Guardian's competition with interest."
