Does the new Oyster contract deliver value for money?- Caroline Pidgeon AM

Commenting on the announcement today by Transport for London of the agreement of a new contract for the future management and development of the Oyster card system and other ticketing services, Caroline Pidgeon Liberal Democrat spokesperson on transport at the London Assembly said;
"Although it's good news that Oyster's future is secure, the positive spin put on TfL's announcement should be tempered by the fact that it is staggering to think that TfL didn't own the Oyster trademark in the first place, nor do we yet know how much this deal has cost Londoners. Does the new Oyster contract deliver value for money?
"The Mayor should immediately publish the details of the agreement that has been reached - including how much the purchase of the Oyster trademarked name has cost."
